We are fully aware of the dangers associated with anyone working with a flame or excessively hot objects. In fact, welding types such as, steel welding may cause lung or kidney cancers. Our health executives are always there to advice on how to save oneself from such harmful impacts and other related accidents at work.

How to Ensure Safety at Workplace

  • If welding is carried out indoors, a local exhaust ventilation system should be there. But then if this system fails to control the risk of getting exposed to toxic fumes, then respiratory protective equipment must be installed;
  • Welders, must wear respiratory protective equipment, and use a LEV without exception;
  • Also, risk assessment plans should be updated to include to the new, more stringent, expectations;
  • The welders must be trained thoroughly in order use the ventilation systems as well as respiratory PPE to ensure safe work;
  • Ear defenders should be worn as a precaution to noise injury. Similarly, vibration levels should be monitored to prevent hand-arm vibration syndrome;

By conducting appropriate training and keeping a provision for suitable ventilation system and respiratory protective device, one can keep up with possible safety at work.
